Mysterious Drone Intrusion Triggers “State Of Emergency” And Urgent Warning: Iranian Mothership Lurks In International Waters

A mysterious drone intrusion in New Jersey has triggered calls for a “state of emergency” as authorities suggest the drone came from an Iranian “mother ship” in international waters.

Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew said Wednesday that Iran launched the ship “about a month ago” after reaching an agreement with China to “buy drones, motherships and other technology.”

Concerns about UFOs began in mid-November when “car-sized” drones appeared over the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway and President-elect Donald Trump’s golf course in Bedminster.

At a congressional hearing on Tuesday, Sen. John Bramnick (R) said: “New Jersey should issue a limited state of emergency banning all drones until the public receives an explanation for these multiple sightings.”

The FBI admitted it did not know who was behind the flying objects, while the U.S. military insisted it was not responsible. The White House said it was “closely” monitoring the situation.

Rep. Chris Smith (R) also spoke during the meeting, revealing a report of 50 drones arriving from the ocean and tracking U.S. Coast Guard vessels.

The actor also noted that “it could be Putin or Xi Jinping from China or the Middle East, we can’t rule anything out.”

For weeks, many drones have been seen in the skies over New Jersey, prompting officials to declare a “limited state of emergency.”

The White House also discussed the drone issue during a press conference on Tuesday evening.

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Biden knew of the matter and “we are monitoring this activity very closely.” Still, he noted that she did not know when Biden was informed of it.

On November 18, six days after the drones were spotted, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was first alerted to strange activity around military bases.

The first video showed green and red lights on the wings of the drones, and several witnesses described them as the size of a small car.

At the hearing, FBI Deputy Director Robert Wheeler said: “There is no reason that compels me to say this, but we don’t know, and that’s the disturbing part.”

He told Congress that more than 3,000 submissions have been submitted to the agency’s tip line, which was set up last week.

Drones have been reported in 12 counties: Sussex, Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Monmouth, Ocean, Camden, Burlington, Somerset, Hunterdon, Morris, and Warren.

The FBI has received more than 3,000 drone sightings in the past week. UFOs have been seen over water tanks, power lines, train stations, police stations, and other military facilities.

Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella also wrote to the FAA and FBI earlier this month, requesting an investigation into drone sightings in Staten Island, according to PIX 11.

Wheeler was asked if the public was in danger, to which he responded: “Are we concerned that there is nefarious intent that could result in an actual or public safety incident?”

“There is no known information that would prompt me to say that, but we don’t know. That’s the worrying part.”

New Jersey residents have been monitoring the skies and submitting reports of strange drones on social media platforms, especially dedicated Facebook groups.

‘They are definitely coming from the ocean, I live on the bay and I see them coming from the ocean every night,’ said resident John Mastrogiovanni.

‘Ten to 15 at a time. Once they reach land, some turn off their lights and go in different directions, some low, some high. The ones I saw were low and loud and sounded like an engine.

“They move very slowly and then quickly speed up every night. They’re 4 to 5 feet in size, using green and red lights.

Kelly Ann of Osborne Island claimed she saw the same sight from the north while looking out over Atlantic City.

“They were following each other, like they were lined up 100 feet apart,” he said.

Murphy said the drones did not appear to pose a public safety risk, but he also noted “it’s something we take very seriously.”

“I don’t blame people for being frustrated,” Murphy added.

“Once you see them, they go black,” he said Monday, describing the flying aircraft as “extremely sophisticated.”

Murphy held a conference call Wednesday with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and representatives from Congress and state police to discuss the drone reports.

The House Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence Subcommittee also held a hearing on the issue.
