RightShip has announced a partnership with Napier Ports to bring RightShip’s innovative RightPort risk solution to New Zealand ports. The agreement will make Napier the first port in New Zealand to implement this breakthrough technology, which aims to improve maritime safety and sustainability. RightPort is an innovative digital solution that screens incoming vessels using risk-based criteria tailored to a port’s needs. This allows ports and terminals to streamline pre-arrival processes, reduce administrative burden, and improve communications with ships.
RightPort also connects users to a global network of ports, giving them access to feedback reports and vessel insights from other ports and terminals. RightPort helps us further improve our operational efficiency, safety standards, and environmental performance. It also supports our vision to be a long-term partner for our customers and communities by providing reliable, resilient, and sustainable port services. Said Todd Dawson, managing director of Napier Port.
Lastly, Andy Symonds, RightShip’s Head of APAC, said: “We are delighted to welcome Napier Port as the first port in the region to adopt RightPort. However, This partnership demonstrates Napier’s commitment to improving safety and sustainability in shipping. Aligned with RightShip’s mission to build a safer and greener maritime industry. We look forward to working with Napier Ports and supporting them with our data-driven solutions and global network. ”
