Tehran Calls G7 Statement On Iran Attacking Israel “Baised”

Remains of ballistic missiles in the desert near the city of Arad in the south of the country after Iran attacked Israel. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghayi said on Thursday that Iran considers the G7’s condemnation of its attack on Israel “one-sided and irresponsible.”

Iran fired more than 180 missiles at Israel on Tuesday, allegedly in response to the assassination of its leader and its aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.

Abbas Nilforoushan, deputy commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, was also killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut a week ago, which killed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Iran-backed Lebanese Hezbollah group.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, G7 leaders condemned Tehran’s attack and expressed “deep concern” about the Middle East crisis. However, they said a diplomatic solution was still possible and that regional conflicts were not in anyone’s interest.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that “the G7 countries, especially the United States, bear a decisive responsibility for exacerbating insecurity and instability in West Asia due to their armed, financial and political support for Israel and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.

The ministry also said that it summoned the German and Austrian ambassadors on Thursday after Iranian representatives were summoned in Berlin and Vienna to condemn Tehran’s missile attack on Israel.

He added: “We are confident that if European countries had taken effective and pragmatic measures promptly, including cutting off financial support and weapons, they would have cut off the killing and genocide machine of the Zionist regime (Israel) today, and we would not have witnessed such a tragedy.” ” The ministry said.
