Engine Cadet/Apprentice
Trainee in the engineering department, undergoing practical training and gaining experience in the operation and maintenance of shipboard systems.
Fourth Engineer Officer
Assists in the operation and maintenance of the ship's machinery, including propulsion and auxiliary systems is done by fourth engineer.
Third Engineer Officer
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the ship's machinery, working under the supervision of higher-ranking engineering officers.
Chief Engineer Officer
The highest-ranking engineering officer, responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the ship's propulsion and auxiliary systems.
Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)
Specialized officer responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems on the ship and other maintenance.
Second Engineer Officer
In charge of the engineering department, responsible for the maintenance and operation of the main and auxiliary engines, as well as other machinery.
