A Fisherman Is Missing After LPG Tanker Collides With Cargo Ship
The LPG tanker Era Star reportedly collided with the cargo ship Mizan, causing the latter to be severely damaged and enter the water, raising concerns about the cargo ship capsizing.
The collision occurred around midnight on November 1 in the Bashore Strait near the Mongla Port of Bangladesh. The LPG tanker Era Star, which was carrying LPG, reportedly collided head-on with the cargo ship Mizan.
A fishing boat capsized after colliding with an LPG tanker and a cargo ship, and the only person on board is still missing.
The cargo ship Mizan was reportedly loaded with coal and suffered severe damage, causing it to fall into the water. The eight crew members abandoned the ship, fearing that it would sink.
In addition, all the crew members jumped on the cargo ship Mizan and swam to the shore. No crew members on the Times Star were injured.
However, there are reports that the fishing boat involved in the collision sank. The fishermen on the fishing boat are still missing.
Two Bangladesh Coast Guard patrol boats and a diving team continue to search the area for the missing persons.
