Yemen conducts three operations in the Arabian, Red Sea, & Bab el-Mandeb.
On Monday, the Yemeni Armed Forces said they had carried out three operations against three ships in the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
“In support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance, we conducted three military operations as part of the ongoing naval blockade against the Israeli enemy. The first operation targeted the SC Montreal ship in the southern Arabian Sea with two drones. The attack was accurate,” said Brigadier General Yahya Sarri, a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, in a statement broadcast by the Al Masirah satellite channel.
He added that “the second operation targeted the Maersk Colon ship in the Arabian Sea with cruise missiles,” adding that “the third operation targeted the Mutaro ship in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait with several ballistic missiles.” “The hit was accurate.
Sari said, “These operations will not stop until the (Israeli) aggression stops, the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted, and the aggression on Lebanon stops,” and promised more attacks.
Since November last year, Yemen has carried out missile and drone attacks on Israel and disrupted shipping traffic “related to Israel” in the Red Sea to show solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza as Israel began its invasion of Gaza on October 7, 2023.
