Cadet
A former officer of the Pakistan Navy is awarded the title of cadet. This is a phase of naval officer training based on the specialty the recruit wishes to master.
Second Lieutenant (S/Lt)
After approximately two years of training, cadets are promoted to second lieutenant and supervise a crew as the first step on the path to lieutenant.
Lieutenant (LT)
Captains in naval fleets ensure that their crews accomplish their missions. This is a responsible job, as the lieutenant is often also responsible for keeping the crew on alert to guard against enemy attacks.
Lieutenant Colonel (Lt-Cdr)
The captain of a small boat is called a Lieutenant Commander and has his own small crew. Officers of this rank often choose to lead a particular branch of the Navy.
Commander (CDR)
The commander heads a warship or submarine and also is usually his second in command after the captain. Commanders can also choose to serve at naval bases on land or accept positions with the Department of Defense.
Captain (CAPT)
A captain is the commander of a large ship or a senior position in a shore-based facility. The captain is typically responsible for the welfare of the crew and boat, including keeping the logbook, managing disciplinary matters, delegating work, and also distributing food.
Commodore (Cdre)
As a COMMODORE, naval officers can choose to command a fleet of ships or take on a larger role at a land base. When necessary, they also support the Major General’s mission.
Rear Admiral (R-Adm)
This position gives an officer the authority to fly his own flag on his ship and command his own ship to protect his squadron and also support in combat.
Vice Admiral (V-Adm)
In addition to supporting the Admiral, the Vice Admiral can lead ships and fleets as needed. They may also hold important positions within the government.
Admiral (ADM)
The highest pakistan navy rank, giving an officer complete control over the fleet and the ships that fly his flag. You can also take Rear Admirals and Vice Admirals onto your ship if you wish. This rank is equivalent to a general in the Pakistan Army. Admiral (abbreviated as ADM) is a four-star flag officer awarded the rank and title of the Pakistan Navy rank, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This is the highest rank in the Pakistan Armed Forces, above the rank of three-star lieutenant general.
Admiral is equivalent to the rank of the General in the Pakistan Army and the Air Marshal in the Pakistan Air Force. Admiral is the only rank in Pakistan to hold the position of Chief of Naval Staff. The four-star Admiral is responsible for the distribution of duties throughout the Pakistan Navy within an organizational structure supported by various statutory authorities such as the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (branch commanders), Chief of the Navy, Hydrographic Surveyor, Stewardship Officer, and Engineer.

Admiral can be distinguished from other insignias such as 3-star Vice Admiral, 2-star Rear Admiral, Admiral of the Fleet, or simply “Admiral” by the full Admiral, or he is a 4-star Admiral.
Appointment And Retirement
Admirals are appointed by the President of Pakistan, but appointments and recommendations for reappointment are made by the Prime Minister. As amended by the Constitution, the country is ruled by Pakistan’s parliament, so the President plays a signature role in the military, exercising the powers of commander-in-chief of the country and determining the terms of office of admirals. What Ranks Are There In The Merchant Navy?

What Do The Merchant Navy Uniforms Look Like?
Do they have to wear uniforms at all times? Merchant marine officers wear primarily white shirts and black pants and also wear epaulets depending on their rank on board.
